New ID Group Home Now Open and Accepting Applications!
Liberty Point is happy to announce the expansion of our community based services. We recently opened a second community group home! The program will serve male adolescents, ages 16 – 21, who have intellectual disabilities ranging from 45 to 75 IQ. They must also have a psychiatric diagnosis and often have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. “Now we are able to offer a transition for our older residents as they prepare for independent living” said Mike Hamilton, Director of Community Services. Mike was the former Program Director at Liberty Point and will now oversee both of Liberty Point’s group homes and future community based expansion. Liberty Point’s current secure residential and group home programs are licensed to serve ages 13 -18. The 4 bedroom, 3 bath home has been renovated and was recently licensed by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. With over 3,000 square feet of space indoors, more than 2 acres of land, a swimming pool and basketball court, the residents will have much to enjoy while learning life skills in their new home! For more information, call our Admissions Department at 540-213-0450.
